BindiT is a booking, escrow, and pay-splitting platform for live music and related work — connecting performers, backing musicians, venues, and promoters, and providing tools for negotiation, show-day logistics, escrow-held payments, band pay splits, and optional legal document templates.
BindiT is not a talent agency, employer, or party to any booking — it facilitates agreements between users and, where money changes hands through the platform, holds and releases funds according to the terms both sides confirm.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. One account can hold multiple capacities (performer, backing musician, venue, promoter) — you are responsible for all activity under your account regardless of which capacity you acted in.
You must be legally able to enter binding agreements to use BindiT.
When a booking is funded through BindiT's payment processor, a 3.5% transaction fee is charged to the booking party on top of the agreed amount, and a 1.5% payout fee is deducted from each payout to a performer, musician, or promoter.
If a booking is marked as paid in cash or as unpaid (volunteer/free), BindiT does not process that payment and charges no fee on it.
Optional legal document templates may be purchased individually, or accessed without a per-document charge with a BindiT+ subscription (currently $4.99/month).
Payments processed through BindiT are handled by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Funds funded to escrow are released according to the milestones and conditions both parties agreed to (typically on show completion, or per a deposit schedule for flat-fee deals). Payouts to connected accounts are made via Stripe Connect.
BindiT is not a bank and does not guarantee funds beyond what is actually held in escrow for a given booking.
Contract templates offered on BindiT are general-purpose starting points, not legal advice tailored to your situation. We recommend independent legal review for any agreement involving significant money or risk.
If a disagreement arises over a booking or session, either party may open a dispute while funds are held in escrow. BindiT may review submitted evidence and resolve the dispute by releasing funds in full, in part, or refunding the booking party. This process is offered as a convenience and is not a substitute for legal recourse either party may otherwise have.
Don't use BindiT to misrepresent who you are, what you're offering, or to circumvent fees through fraudulent means. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the platform, harass other users, or violate these terms.
BindiT is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, BindiT is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including disputes between users, cancelled events, or third-party service outages (including our payment processor or hosting providers).
We may update these terms as BindiT evolves. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Questions about these terms can be sent to the account contact listed on your booking.
